Famous Players Past and Present

It 's the story, many casino players throughout the game was famous as a result. Although the following persons are not necessarily to fame through gambling, but to draw considerable public attention because of their gambling activities.

One of the first famous players in the world was John Montagu, Earl of Sandwich. He led a scandalous private life and had fallen to gambling. "Wild Bill" Hickok was another American legend, known worldwide for lying about his violent life. He is primarily responsible for taming two of the lawless city of Kansas recalls. Benny Binion was born in 1904 and lived his life as smugglers and fraudsters. At the age of 43 gave his life of crime and moved to Las Vegas, where he later opened his own casino. Binion was the player players paradise, and in 1970 bought and sold the World Series of Poker, which grew over time, be the largest in the world.

Magazine owner Kerry Packer made his name by the family of his media empirewhich 60% of all magazines in Australia. Packer was known as a high stakes player when he won 26 million U.S. dollars at blackjack at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. The World Series of Poker has created many famous players of today. Although gambling is primarily a leisure activity, many people approached him with a different mentality, and consequently won and lost his vast fortune to become famous, while on the road.
